Cleaner - 25 hours per week, term time only

Blackpool Gateway Academy is in Bloomfield Ward, close to Blackpool Football Club,  adjacent to Seasider’s Way. It is a two form entry school that is growing year on year,  currently with 350 pupils catering for pupils from  3-11 years. It is a two form entry school currently catering for pupils from 3-11 years through our nursery provision.

The school is a 21st century learning environment with the latest IT in all classrooms. It has  a dedicated foundation stage with outdoor learning. We are committed to an ethos and culture of nurture for all pupils and staff and in March this year attained Nurture UK accreditation which we are very proud of.

We are looking to appoint a Cleaner on a permanent contract to provide a clean and healthy environment for our students, staff and visitors by undertaking the cleaning of allocated areas within the premises to a specified standard.

We are looking for candidates whose dynamism, commitment, energy, professional expertise and experience qualify them to take on this exciting and challenging role. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a good team player and takes pride in the work they do. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a cleaning role, be familiar with Health & Safety regulations and COSHH.

 

Salary: SCP 2-4 on the NJC Pay Scale (currently £9.46 - £9.84 per hour)

Contract: Part Time – 25 hours per week (10am - 3.30pm) Term Time Only (pro rata)

Start Date: 31/08/2022
